Anthony Saroufim plans to change Beruits egg into a camera obscura. He talks about the history of the building and using the bullet holes from the civil war as a way to transform the outside in. Saroufim is interested in the architecture in relation to photography. This for me is not something I talk about often but it is forever present in my work. I refer to it more as the space or the environment that determines the shape of the image being made. The shape of the egg as a camera is a beautiful way to translate and share its history with people.
